Howard A. Penton III
Principal

native of Wilmington and a graduate of Episcopal High School and UNC-Chapel Hill, Howard oversees the day-to-day operations of Penton Development. Howard has been in the real estate and construction industry for 20 years, spending time at a commercial brokerage firm in Northern Virginia before starting his own engineering firm in 1990, specializing in Civil Engineering. This gave him invaluable experience in the field and led him to start Penton Construction in 1993. Howard has built more than 20 different projects in the Wilmington area, both residential and commercial. From land accquistion to the final home sale, Howard is hands-on and involved. His experience is sure to have a positive effect on your experience!

Mark Stogner
Lead Building Superintendent

Mark works on-site as project manager handling everything from ordering materials to coordinating sub-contractors. He specializes in site work and utilities and is licensed in plumbing and heating/air just to name a couple! Originally from Clayton, he lives in Wilmington with his wife and two boys.

Baird Stewart
Building Superintendent

Baird works on-site handling everything from land acquisition to inspections to subcontractor negotiations. He and Mark work together to ensure that our projects are completed on time and to the same standards of construction that Penton is known for. He completed undergraduate studies at Denison University and holds a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from LSU.

Sharon Blackburn
General Manager

After several years in business and a short stint in the non-profit world, Sharon came to Penton and has been running the show ever since. She handles all office administration from accounting to contracts and being nice to her is a good idea. Though Sharon studied Marine Biology at UNC-Wilmington she decided that life in the water wasn't for her and spends her free time riding motorcycles with her husband instead!

Suzanne O’Bryant
Sales & Marketing Director

A native of Fairfax, VA, Suzanne heads up the marketing efforts at Penton as well as focusing on sales and customer relations. She graduated from NC State University with a degree in Public Relations and spent several years in marketing and sales before becoming a stay-at-home mother. With her son now in elementary school, Suzanne is thrilled to be back in the working world! When she's not working she's on the boat with her husband....

Dwayne Boyce
Punch List Coordinator

A North Carolina native, Dwayne is our Jack-of-all-Trades! With expertise in tile work, painting and woodworking Dwayne can fix just about anything and will be your contact person for any maintenance requests covered under your Builder's Warranty!

Saul Dudley
Heavy Equipment Operator

Saul is the third generation in a family-owned concrete construction business. While many know him from this business, we know him for his endurance in operating heavy equipment. He is also known throughout the Wallace and Warsaw areas for his conquests on the football field!

LeRoy Robertson
Utilities

After an illustrious career at Joe's Stone Crab in Miami, Roy came North and has become a valuable member of our building team. We're still trying to figure out what he was thinking...
