Penton Development, Inc. is a fully integrated real estate development company, specializing in high-quality construction at a great value. We pride ourselves on our commitment to upholding standards of excellence in building and providing impeccable customer service. Our principal, Howard A. Penton III, is a Wilmington native who celebrates 2008 as his 20th year in the real estate and construction business.
We are dedicated to acquiring land in the some of the area's most desirable locations. Whether just minutes from the beach, the next big area to experience growth or a special place that feels miles from anything but is actually just miles to everything... we have the community for your lifestyle.

Howard A. Penton IIIPrincipal
Mark StognerProject Manager
Mark works on-site as project manager handling everything from ordering materials to coordinating sub-contractors. He specializes in site work and utilities and is a licensed in plumbing and heating and air just to name a couple! Originally from Clayton, he lives in Wilmington with his wife and two boys.
Baird StewartProject Manager
Baird works on-site handling everything from land acquisition to inspections to subcontractor negotiations. He and Mark work together to ensure that our projects are completed on time and to the same standards of construction that Penton is known for. He completed undergraduate studies at Denison University and holds a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from LSU.
Saul DudleyHeavy Equipment Operator
Saul is the third generation in a family-owned concrete construction business. While many know him from this business, we know him for his endurance in operating heavy equipment. He is also known throughout the Wallace and Warsaw areas for his conquests on the football field!

Sharon BlackburnGeneral Manager
Suzanne O'BryantSales & Marketing Director
A native of Fairfax, VA, Suzanne heads up the marketing efforts at Penton as well as focusing on sales and customer relations. She graduated from NC State University with a degree in Public Relations and spent several years in marketing and sales before becoming a stay-at-home mother. Her son is now in Kindergarten and she is thrilled to be back in the working world!
Jennifer CaseyProperty Manager
Jennifer received her degree in Information Technologies from East Carolina University in 2004 and started working for Penton in 2005. She manages our more than 90 rental properties as well as the daily office administration. She's been known to fix a toilet or two but it's not on her list of favorite things!
